Barefoot on the Bay
This past weekend Reese and I went to the 3rd annual Barefoot on the Bay at no other than Batchelor Bay. We had a blast at June Bug and Jobie's beautiful home. The weekend was filled with lots of fun and laughter as we boated, sunbathed, played games, and enjoyed everyone's presence. Last year Whitley and I showed off our baby bumps and this year we were able to show off our adorable babies! It was great to see everyone and introduce Reese and Tully to all our friends!

Yay for Exersaucer!!
Last weekend Reese spent the night with her Grammy and Gangah, and of course she was spoiled even more. The weekend consisted of a trip to no other than Toys R Us! Reese fell in love with this colorful, musical, and educational exersaucer, so she had to have one! Thanks Grammy and Gangah! Now our mornings usually start out with exersaucer time, which Reese loves!!

My baby is 7 months old!!!
Today marks 7 months that we have been blessed with our baby girl. I can not believe how fast she is growing and how much she changes before my eyes. It's truly amazing!! She is celebrating with her Grammy and Gangah this weekend. Reese is having a wonderful time laughing and playing with her cousins and being a very good girl! Mommy on the other hand was hit hard with an empty house last night. Reese stayed away from me for the first time at 5 1/2 months, but I was in Charleston, SC. This was the first time that I stayed in our house without my little one. My house felt very empty and all I could smell was baby Reese. I found myself looking at her pictures and yes, crying! She is my heart, and I miss her tons!! Mommy and Daddy can't wait to pick you up tomorrow. Have a wonderful 7th month birthday! We love you!!!

Fourth of July...Batchelor Bay
Happy Fourth...a little late!! This past weekend Reese and I traveled to Batchelor Bay...the home of June Bug and Jobie (Whitley's parents). Both our husbands were working, so we decided to take advantage of the holiday weekend and head to the bay!! Reese experienced her first boat ride and first parade! Mrs. June Bug and Whitley decorated an "all terrain wagon" for Reese and Tully's float!!! The two babies were so good sitting in their bumbo seats and were the youngest participants in the parade! Tully's Bug pulled the wagon as the proud mommies videoed from the side. It was quite a site to see and thoroughly thrilling for all. We definitely had loads of fun celebrating at the bay! Hopefully, we can make it a tradition boating, sunbathing, and parading on the fourth of July at the beautiful Batchelor Bay!

River Rats & Beach Bums...
Well, I think we have a baby who loves the water! Reese enjoyed splashing and playing in the river. She had a blast swimming with her daddy until the salt water reached her eyes and mouth! Mommy saved the day and wiped her face down! Here she is practicing the "dirty dancing" lift with her daddy!
The next morning we walked over to the river during low tide. My sister, Robbie, Reese, Ellie Mae, and myself decided to test the water! We were having such a good time that Robbie decided to go and get Gus, so he wouldn't feel left out! Robbie pushed Gus into the water and boy...he wasn't sure what to do! He headed right towards the shore prancing like a deer!! It was definitely a good laugh! Once he calmed down Gus became a river dog! Ellie Mae and Gus loved running on the sandbars, chasing crabs, and trying to fetch oyster shells or river mud! Ellie Mae wanted to play fetch, but with her only weighing 5lbs it was pretty impossible! She definitely had a great time swimming and even jumped out of the boat into the water...I was shocked! Reese loved watching her crazy dogs frolick in the river. She had the best seat in the house...sitting in the water holes on the sandbars. Aunt Sara held her and let her splash water and dig her hands into the mud. We were all river rats for the morning...even the dogs!

Later that afternoon, we decided to head to the beach. We packed the car and drove to Holden Beach. I would love to say that we were a bunch of beach bums....but our "first" beach trip only lasted maybe 30 minutes! It was soooo windy and the beach was very rough. Our first obstacle was tackling the umbrella...I didn't get a picture of that one! Once our sun protection was secure we headed to the water. Evan, my nephew, was quite the explorer. Being only 20 months old, he was interested in everything and everyone. My sister couldn't sit down for long. We decided that it would be best to leave and try the beach another day!
Overall, we had a great weekend. Thanks to Sara, Matthew, and Evan for letting us visit!
